Preparation for Photo Exhibition- Report

hello children, here is Aunty Win Nie reporting about the night when we meet at Uncle Seng Wee's house .....

After when my work ended at 6.30pm, I took a train down to Jurong East MRT , all the way from Kembangan MRT . The journey was from the east right to the west ! Even though it was quite far away, I was looking forward to meet the children and to get the photos , buy the art boards and some materials .When I reached the house, it was already 8.20pm ! I was indeed late !

I was happy to see Isaac, Keefe, Kendra, Daphne , Darryl and Luther there . Darryl told me that he and his sister had reached there much earlier, in the afternoon. I thought they must have like Uncle Seng Wee's house so much . Aunty Daphne was also there. And of course, our kind hosts, Uncle Seng Wee and Aunty Sui Koon were there as well.

I took out the photos that Ive developed to show all of them. Aunty Sui Koon also played the Photo CD on the "Big Screen" at her house for all of us. Thanks to Uncle Kemuel who has burned a copy of photos for us ! Some of the photos were really funny. Especially when some of us on the photos were taken down without us knowing. (Especially the part when Nicole took a photograph of Aunty Sui Koon sleeping with her mouth open ! haha... oops ! ok, all for the fun of it, but children, we must not go over broad the next time ok.)

Photographs , or rather, digital cameras are really great inventions ! That's because they captured precious moments of our life that we have no way of getting back again. So thanks for the photographers who took time to take them !

Wow ! Time really flies ! We really enjoyed looking at the photographs.
And...it was then time to get our hands on the photos and do some decorations on the board ! This was the part that the children were waiting for !

We first divided the photos into different categories : Banner making, First day of camp on the bus and the lunch, Amazing Race and others....

While the children and Aunty Win Nie started to do our work on the floor, the youths were watching the church camp videos on the laptop....

Kendra and Isaac were in charged doing up the banner making day...... Daphne and Keefe were doing on the Amazing Race...... And for Aunty Win Nie, I was arranging the rest of the photographs.... That's how things work...We need to divide the work and good team work will make the job complete faster ! We definitely do not want to stay till midnight to finish right ?

The children brought their own markers and scissors and glue... Aunty Sui Koon provided us with her unwanted magazines so that we could use the colour pages for drawing out the words and cutting out the fonts. Yes ! All of us got all things moving.

I could see Kendra , Daphne began cutting out the fonts from the magazines. Isaac the creative boy drew pictures on the boards. Wow, Isaac is really spontaneous when he draws and wrote the photos captions Keefe was arranging the amazing race photographs.

We had a mini break. Aunty Sui Koon made brownies for all of us !! They are really sweet , to taste !

We continued to finish up everything till it's 10.40pm. Time to go home !


The photos and writeups were posted up at the Children's room on Sunday . Have you seen them already ? If not, don't worry, this coming Sunday (1st July) we will put them up again at the service room . And also, I have the video clips of the Amazing Race, by Uncle Louis ! Shall we watch it one day ?
