Matthew 13 : 24-30

Wheat and weedsA) In the church, there will be wheat and weeds.
Matt.13:24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
Weeds are very much like the wheat when it sprouts. It is distinguishable clearly from its fruit - because good seed produces good fruit and bad seed produces bad fruit. It is from the fruit that we distinguish good and the bad. This is why Jesus forbade the weeds be pulled out before times. Their roots are so much entangled together they cannot be pulled out without hurting the each other. The weeds are the sons of the evil one as the wheat is the sons of the Kingdom of Heaven.
1. Every Christian will bear the fruit of holiness and the Spirit.
Yes, every Christians are like the good seeds in God's field. Just like any seeds that will grow, we will become more and more like God, Jesus Christ.
2. Good seeds do not continue to sin.
1 John 3 : 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
B) God wants us to plant good seeds.
The good seeds are : good attitudes, loving our enemies, kindness, compassion, politeness, gentleness , obedience to parents and teachers
The bad seeds are : saying vulgarities, hatred, disobedience, laziness
how to tell good seeds from bad seeds ? We can tell by the fruit we produce.
Every negative encounter is a time to sow seeds.
Ephesians 5 : 14 ...."Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
So let us all sow GOOD seeds starting from today !
