Wow, you hear that in Luke 19 : 12-21, it tells us that God has given each one of us his Resources / treasures. Do you know What treasures has God given YOU ?
In this Parable of the ten minas, a man who is the appointed king has given his 10 servants some money. He gave them 10 minas each . Wow, imagine how the 10 servants must have felt ! How will you feel if your parents will to give you a surprise by giving you 3 months pocket money in a day ?
INTERESTING FACT !
10 minas = 3 months salary during that
time !
If you are one of the servants here receiving 10 minas
from your master/king, aren't you be very happy inside ?
" Put this money to work, " the man said, 'until I come back.'
But the man's subjects ( more important people ) grumble among one another . They hated him and didn't want him to be their king. hmmm..........Why do you think they hate him ?
However, the man was made king and he returned home. He then called his servants whom has has given the money and wanted to find out how they have used it. Children, if you were given so much money, how will you use them ?
The first servant produced 1o more minas !
"Well done ! Now take charge of 10 cities ." the master replied.
The second servant produced 5 more minas !
So the master repplied "Now, you take charge of 5 cities. "
The 3rd servant came and did not have anything to show the master except for the old 10 minas. The servant has hidden them in a piece of cloth and did not touch it .
Oh ! Lazy servant !
What I do with the resources that is given to us shows what kind of person I am. How we use them will show how faithful we are.
3 Kinds of Riches :
1. True riches
2. Inner riches
3. Riches in heaven.
Money is one of the resources God has given to each of you. But, money is not true riches.
How do you get riches in heaven ?
Inner riches is easy to get and they are what Jesus has given you, if you ask him. It's just by trusting Jesus and putting your faith in Jesus. And this inner riches will make you grow stronger inside, making you more like Jesus.
Children, Jesus is coming back again.
When Jesus comes back, and he will ask each of us to tell him what we have used the REsources he has given us.
What will you say to Jesus ?
