Here's a notice to search for missing people or things. Good news is that 3 things were lost but they were FOUND !! However, two children are still lost. Have you seen them ?
The following stories are about three lost things(found!) . Jesus was telling. He loves telling stories to teach children and also to tell his secrets to children who listen.
1st Story : The Lost Sheep (Found!)
There was a man who had 100 Sheeps. One of his sheeps ran away ! Oh no ! So, he left the 99 sheeps and went to search high and low for that one sheep. When he finally found it, he was so happy ! He was happier about the 1 sheep that was found than with the 99 sheeps who did not ran away. This story is very true, because in the same way, our Heavenly Father God did not want any of His little children to be lost. And when He finds one lost child, there is more Rejoicing in heaven than 99 children who did not need to repent.
2nd Story : The Lost coin (Found!)
There was a woman who had 10 silver coins. That was her one day salary ! How precious they are.
She lost one silver coin and so she light her lamp and searched the whole house....She searched here and there, she looked below the bed, under the chair, behind the cupboard...she searched so carefully to just find that one silver coin. Finally.....she FOUND it ! She was so happy that she called up her friends and relatives to tell the GOOD news ! "REjoice with me ! Ive found my lost coin! "
This story is also very true, because there is so much Rejoicing in heaven (together with the angels) over one sinner who repents !
Sinner : it means someone who does wrong. Every child is a sinner when he or she is born .
Repents : It means when someone say sorry about the wrong things he or she does and will not do it again.
3rd Story : Lost son (Found !)
There was a father who had two sons. The younger son was bad. He stretched out his hands to ask his father for money and valuable things. So, the loving father divided his money and valuable things for both sons. Soon, the younger son got everything he had and he left his father. This younger son spent all his money, and had no food to eat. There was also famine in the country he lives in. Things became so bad for him. He began to think about his father and home where there was food to eat and how his father had provided and loved him so much. He knew he had done wrong and felt so sorry of what he had done to his father......(When he left home, how broken hearted the father must have felt !) So, he went back home and thinking about what he wanted to say to his father "Papa, I am so sorry..."
Before he reached his house, his father saw him at a distance..... (He must have waited day and night for his lost son!) His father ran to him....hugged him and kissed him.
"Papa, I am sorry......I have sinned against you and against God. I am not fit to be your son."
The father was so overjoyed that his lost son has came back ! He called his servants and said :
"Quick ! Get my son the best clothes ! Put on him a new pair of shoes and a ring on his finger !"
"My son was lost ! But now he is found !!"
